Asia (ah-sya) Meirovich is pianist, vocalist, composer and choral director whose cross-genre style spans traditional and contemporary genres. She has directed choirs and taught music at Lasell University, Roxbury Community College, Brandeis Institute of Music and Arts (BIMA), Dexter Southfield School and The Schechter School of Greater Boston.
Asia's choral compositions have been nationally recognized and published, and she is currently finishing her sixth singer/songwriter album as "asia mei". Asia was born in the Soviet Union, grew up in Israel and has settled in the United States following her degree completion at Berklee College of Music. She later pursued a master's in Composition from UMass Amherst. Asia has been living in Boston for the past 7 years with her musician and scholar husband Andres and musical children Eden, Liam and Naomi.
