How do I join?

Come check us out at one of our Open Rehearsals: Sunday, Oct 4 and Monday, 12th, 2026, from 6:30-8:30 at Congregation B’nai Shalom in Westborough. Due to security requirements, please email us in advance at ShirJoyMA@gmail.com.

There are no auditions, but all members will have a vocal placement assessment that takes less than 2 minutes, during which the music director will determine the most appropriate chorus section based on vocal range and sound. 

Are there any costs for joining?

Yes, there are annual dues, currently set at $100 (second semester only $60). These dues only cover a fraction of the organization's expenses. We also rely on donations, grants, concert ticket sales, and other income to pay our director's and accompanist's stipends and cover the cost of all music purchased. We offer partial or full stipends to those who need them.
